Mixed Use Development, Kenya

Nairobi, Kenya

Hass Towers, a twin glass-façade tower located in the thriving business node of Upper Hill in Nairobi, is Africa’s tallest building at 300m (985 ft), designated to dominate the city skyline. The mixed-use development project consists of commercial, residential, retail and hospitality spaces. Situated on a hill, the towers command a panoramic view of the city, and the apartments, offices and hotel rooms are planned to get maximum view on all sides.

The plan takes advantage of the level difference of almost 8m from the road level to the upper end of the hilly plot. Drop-off facilities for the hotel, commercial and residential towers are maintained at the lower end, and service entry lies at the higher level.

Both towers, with a material palette dominated by glass and aluminium, have an aerodynamic form that aids the orientation towards sweeping southeast side views of the Royal Nairobi Golf Club.
